RED ROCK CANYON He missed the break badly last time out at Tipperary in a race that he was expected to break his maiden tag in, but he was then rushed up to dispute the lead well over 4f out, but he may have used up to much energy getting to the front were he likes to be and therefore had no extra at the business end, although he kept on at the same pace!! However, the form of that race seems to have worked out well as the winner followed up with a 3 length win in a handicap, and the runner-up won a maiden race last week.

Higgy’s Boy was one of the 12 or so betting opportunities that we lost due to the freezing weather that we had in January, as we would have made him a MAX WIN BET on 21/01/09, but the meeting was abandoned, however, that was in a Class 4 Novices Hurdle and we were very confident that he would WIN that day, however, because that meeting was abandoned he instead ran 3 days later in a much tougher race, a grade 2 Class 1 Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham, however, we did NOT get involved with him in that Cheltenham race as he was definitely not a betting a proposition for us in that much higher grade, plus we did have other irons in the fire as well on that Saturday when we landed a MAX WIN BET in an earlier race, however, as suspected Higgy’s Boy was well beaten in that Cheltenham race on heavy ground, but he was beaten further than we thought he maybe, however, The vet did reported afterwards that he had lost a right fore shoe which probably did not help him. Before, that race he won a competitive event on his hurdling debut in a class 3 event at Newbury when he travelled well throughout and eased into the lead jumping the last before pulling clear without his rider having to let out an inch of rein. Now back in this lower grade he must have an outstanding win chance if he can put the Cheltenham race behind him, so much so, that we are going to make him our next MAXIMUM WIN BET selection as we advise a 12pts to win bet on him. Peeping Fawn Has quickly developed into a top-notch filly, she was a huge 20/1 shot when she finished second to Light Shift in the Epsom Oaks before winning the Pretty Polly and then the Irish Oaks when you could not fail to be impressed with the manner of the defeat she gave to Light Shift to reverse the Epsom Oaks form. This is a very strong race, but we know that she is the one they all have to beat, She is a Group 1 winner over a mile and a quarter and a mile and a half and she has already beaten the older fillies in that Pretty Polly Stakes, but she has improved with every run. This drop to ten furlongs may not be ideal but a strong pace is guaranteed and in a race in which there could be tactical speed, then Peeping Fawn's proven turn of foot could be the key to winning this valuable Group 1 Nassau stakes.
